1-0 after 2. That's the good news.

Less good is that ERod has thrown 47 pitches. WEEI guys went ape when ERod walked Zack Short, AVG .158, on 7 pitches.

Not to contradict eck who they should just put in a skirt and give a couple of pom-poms but Eddie's FB is not something to admire. Its not moving at all. Its going exactly where he is throwing it at 93. Can't believe he will get away with that for too long.

Vasquez is leading the team in base running rocks lately.

It’s getting ridiculous. Seems like Cora hasn’t addressed this.

WEEI guys think maybe the Tigers hitters are seeing the fastball well.

Vazquez leads AL catchers in innings caught--WEEI guys.

Cora is playing him way too much. This is the Red Sox 109th game. It is the 95th game Vazquez has appeared in, the 92nd game he’s caught in and the 85th game he has started at catcher.

WEEI guys astute on ERod's changeup, saying slower (81 mph) is better, faster (86 mph) is hittable. The slower changeup breaks more.

Nice change to Grossman Eddie....still his best pitch by far

It truly is. And has been in other games when it is slower (81 mph).

Cora needs to say Vazquez to stop this aggressiveness on paths and stealing bases nonsense. He’s a damn fat catcher.

Also a bigger difference from his fastball, 12-13 mph vs. 6-7.

Very good 3d inning by ERod. Lucky double for the Tigers with 1 out, but no cigar. K on a changeup, then groundout on a changeup.
