The SOX did all they could do to help the Rays win, but the Rays didn't take advantage. 7 straight losses now.

 

Hopefully it’s 8 and 9 soon. They’re struggling and let’s keep it that way.

Take this in: June 22 , summer is started and the Sox are in first place and can't be displaced even with the next loss, whenever that happens. Who would have taken that proposition on April 1 without thinking it was an April Fool joke

Aside the win this will demoralize the Rays even more. They came from behind big time with his rookie-show momentum and still they lost; again. They even had an opportunity in the 10th and still s*** the bed. Edited by iortiz

Huge win.

 

WEEI guys just said exactly the same thing.

 

Fact: Sox pitching gave up just 3 earned runs in 11 innings despite the great hitting by phenom Franco in his very first game.

 

Also fact: the Sox defense does not reassure Sox pitching. WEEI guys pointed out that the infield fielded 6 grounders and got only 1 out--the grounder to Hernandez, who tagged the Rays runner who was then called for interference. Great plays, on the other hand, by Renfroe and Bogaerts to nail the guy trying to stretch a double into a triple.

Hunter seems to love wearing that B !!! He’s a hell of a pickup by Bloom .Hammer down time we need this series.

Kike looks much more comfortable at the plate not leading off.....lol

 

I was about to say that. Seems like Cora just found a spot for him in the lineup. Hopefully he keeps going moving forward.
