We gave this guy 2 year $14M deal...he can't even make a contact with runners on 2nd and 3rd, one out.

Could have had Brock Holt for $1 million.

Kind of frustrating to watch. Hope they find a way to help him.

I'm beginning to think that 2 run dinger was Vazquez's fault. He's the one who called for the fast ball when other pitchers were working.

On the other hand . . .

This is not the Bronx Bombers of any year...even the ones I can't remember any more.

Well actually...I can still remember the Horace Clark Yankees. So maybe there is a Yankee team that this one harkens back to.

Not great but solid. Not to be called but encouraging.

Hopefully this is a new beginning for Eduardo.

Is Arroyo on a no 2 days in a row plan or something?

I know Marwin is Cora's best bud, but what's up with the whole Arroyo situation?

The guy hit a key 3 run job the other day and did well his last game, too. He has the highest OBP of any Sox player not named Devers, JD, Bogey or Verdugo.

I thought the idea of removing Kike from the leadoff slot was to improve our chances of having someone get on base for the big 4.

Santana has the worst OBP of all Sox players on the 26 man roster (.222 in a small sample).

It's an idiotic tactic looking for a 'typical' lead-off hitter. You may as well just pencil in your 9th hitter as first, as that's what it comes down to. Why would you want Santana to have as many or more AB's than any of the 2-5 hitters?

I am more and more convinced Vazquez is giving up those runs more than the pitchers. The sac fly was on the fastball/sinker, and the 2 strikes were on changeups.

That dinger by Torres was also on a fast ball after other pitches had been working against Torres.

Not sure how they build the lineups. I have heard that these days it is not a 100% manager decision as it used to be. I have understood that the “intelligence sport office” or whatever it is called has actually a lot to do with that.

In any case this does not have logic at all.
