In 1990, Dave Stewart and Fernando Valenzuela pitched no-hitters on the same day; the only time it’s been done (until today?).

Edit - I jinxed him.

Yeah I remember that. Strange.

Stealing bases like we’re stealing candy from a baby.

Yeah, we should try all day long in this series.

Funny, there's been an above average amount of no-no's, but there's also been a lot of double digit run games so far this season. I guess I'm still not old enough to figure this game out.

i loved miley when he was a sox. When he pitched he reminded me of listening to a quiet riot song.

lol!

My guess is double digit games are way down.

You've got a good memory.

I watched that game. Not a good day to remember though.

I said Whitlock is good and he gives up a hit, next thing you know we will try and steal a base and get caught. This is why I don’t compliment lol

Time to bring Barnes. Whitlock has done enough already. No need to complicate things.

Aw, the SOX still won 108 games that regular season.

Yeah, I guess that no-no has even more merit not to mention that 2018 offense was great.

We can't keep pushing Barnes to extremes, especially multiple inning saves.

He's already on pace for 85 IP.

Here’s another oddity (or two of them) that I remember as a kid:

On September 17, 1968, Gaylord Perry, then with the Giants, no-hit the Cardinals. On September 18, Ray Washburn of the Cardinals returned the favor against the Giants. First time that had ever happened.

On April 30, 1969, Jim Maloney of the Reds no-hit the Astros. On May 1, Don Wilson of the Astros no-hit the Reds.

Suddenly, Bobby Dee is feared.

Seems like the bottom of the line up is waking up.

Indeed, and even some of the outs have been hit hard.
