It doesn't make watching Franchy, Bobby and Hunter any easier, but we are not alone.

It's May 7th and we have already had 3 no-hitters in the league...

Per my cursory research, the record in a season is 7, done 3 times.

1990: Mark Langston & Mike Witt, Randy Johnson, Nolan Ryan, Fernando Valenzuela, Dave Stewart, Terry Mulhollan, Dave Stieb

1991: Nolan Ryan, Tommy Greene, combined 4 Oriole pitchers, Dennis Martinez, Wilson Alvarez, Brett Saberhagen, 3 combined Braves pitchers.

2015: Chris Heston, Max Scherzer (twice), Cole Hamels, Hisashi Iwakuma, Mike Fiers, Jake Arrieta.

1991 would have had 8 as Mark Garnder of the Expos no-hit the Dodgers for 9 innings 2 days before Dennis Martinez perfect game (mentioned above), but the Expos failed to score when he was out there.

None of the years above had 3 no hitters by May 6. Only one of the no-hitters above (Langston/Witt) was by that date.

Offense is down. Could we see eight this year?

Any word on this game yet if it’s gonna be played?

Best I've heard is a 8:30-9 start time, but don't think that is official

I’ll be outside with my kid playing, call me when it’s on. 1-800-big-sexy

I’m smelling a victory tonight folks

Actually it might be a fart I’m smelling. But still!

Yesterday's game was a fart, an entertaining fart, but a fart non-the-less. You may still be smelling that.

Lmao valid point.

When one thinks about it, the only advantage the Yankems actually have over the SOX is their BP. Their starters are Cole and 4 other guys, who are nothing to write home about. I believe the SOX offense is better. Not sure about defense.

It's a travesty that the first time we play them is first weekend in June

The NOAA map says that's optimistic, so I sure hope you're right.

Please play tonight; I don't want to watch 2 seven inning games on Sunday. I'm not a fan of 7 inning baseball. Btw, NL, don't use the purity of baseball excuse to deny the use of the DH. The purity of baseball has left the building. Edited by SPLENDIDSPLINTER

One thing I've learned from Fenway rain delays is that you can start when it is still raining. Depends on the skill of the grounds crew, the drainage system in place at the stadium, and the amount of Quik Dry available

If Sale comes back in form, our rotation is better.

Interesting. Peter Angelos probably skimped on those.

Btw, and I've posted this before, no one wants to see the pitcher bat except his parents and immediate family.

If that happens this season, Moon, I'm pretty sure Vegas would give the SOX the best odds in the AL of reaching the WS. But, obviously, that's a big IF.

Your IF needs to be bigger. If memory serves, Sale is a lefty without a changeup.

The Dodgers bailed the SOX out of some bad contracts; the O's weren't so lucky.

Well Chris Davis still has nothing on Bobby Bonilla
