The Tigers came into this series averaging less than 3 runs per game and have put up 21 runs (and counting) against Sox pitching.

For all the gripes about the Sox at the plate in this series (and I am not without blame), they have scored 24 runs so far in this series.

The biggest problem is beyond evident here...

Franchy Cordero - who wasn't in the lineup - has tied a career-high with 3 hits. It's the fifth of his career.

Wow, career high. 3 measly hits

Or possibly June 2021 first base job...

I doubt they'd move him mid season with no real effort to get him to learn 1B, at this point.

In Dalbec's defense, the Sox management have kind of taken a young, inexperienced kid and thrown him into lion's den. He's just 25 years old, and they expect him to be able to hit fastballs over 93 mph. He's a thirdbaseman, and they're making him play first base, a far more difficult position.

Top of the order with our newly found lead-off hitter.

I know we're being fictitious about that and I know Cora wouldn't do it, but I'm all for having Cordero bat leadoff tomorrow. Why not?

His defense hasn't been the problem though

Actually, Max, 25 is kind of old for a rookie nowadays.

If every groundball could be hit to Xander, that would be great thanks

They have to be right to him, though.

I hate this bullpen.

I hate how long this game is. I've been waiting to go running for a few hours

Our season in a microcosm.

I still think pulling off a win today would completely stop the bleeding

I've not given up.

It just seems like this game is following a wicked trend we have been moving towards for a while, now.
