It's possible that we are watching the rubber game of a season-defining series.

 

moonslav keeps reminding us of all that great talent waiting to be called up to right the ship, but I am skeptical.

 

The Tigers so far have demonstrated they are better at the following: pitching, hitting, defense, and running the bases. And they have the worst record in MLB. Oh, and their run differential going into this game was -65.

 

I am far from saying we have talent to be called up that can help.

 

I've been against calling up Duran for a long time.

 

Santana has an opt out, so he should be called up. Will he be better than Cordero, Renfroe, Dalbec or whoever he replaces? I have no idea. I've thought all along that Chavis deserves at least one more long look, and I was hoping we could find out, once and for all, if he is a keeper or not. I'm not sure, if he'll do well or badly, but why not give him a chance while Dalbec is struggling?

 

The thought is, he can't do much worse than what we've been getting.

 

Do I think Bazardo is better than Taylor and Brice? Yes.
