Tylor instead of running to first, kept looking. We just lost the lead. Unbelievable.

Actually, that is normal for him. He almost never beats the runner to 1B. And neither the Sox manager nor the Sox pitching coach seems able to break him of that pernicious habit. Apparently, he gets away with believing he is out there to pitch, not play defense.

I've been running errands and only listened to the game sporadically.

I know things look dicey right now and against the Tigers yet. But I just noticed Dalbec is at 1B, so all is well. The kid's got potential, and, really, that's what counts.

And now, here's Bobby!!! With a man on 3d and 2 outs.

If he was lights out, then maybe that would be acceptable. MAYBE

Rough break for Dalbec. The ump cheated him on that one pitch that was way inside. Shoulda called a strike, and it should make no difference that Dalbec swung hard at it. Kid's got an eye him, not swinging at that last pitch. He reeks potential.

At this point, you could have ended that sentence with 'reeks.'

Our pitching is killing us...starters, relievers, the whole thing appears to be a mess.

We can't put anybody away even scoring enough runs to win games.

It's possible that we are watching the rubber game of a season-defining series.

moonslav keeps reminding us of all that great talent waiting to be called up to right the ship, but I am skeptical.

The Tigers so far have demonstrated they are better at the following: pitching, hitting, defense, and running the bases. And they have the worst record in MLB. Oh, and their run differential going into this game was -65.

I leave the office and they put Valdez in?

Why not. He’s been solid outside of his last start and that was on the 24th. He has been pretty good for us. We don’t have many guys left. Whitlock has bombed his last two, Taylor is awful, Brice is awful. Hernandez and Barnes is about the only two consistent guys we have. We need other options. I’m ok with Valdez coming in.

All I know is. At this rate, we need 7 or more to win these games. The pitching is doing what I expected it to do. Suck basically. We knew we were playing above our heads to start the season. This pitching is just awful lately. We are making the leagues worst offensive team look like a juggernaut on the board lmao. It’s pathetic.
