Shortest game thread in history.

 

I was out for supper with my spouse so I didn’t get to watch the game

 

Had chicken from Boston pizza. Was good. Now time for an orange juice, and to watch some kind of movie. Then bed.

When I look at this line up, it looks like a very strong line up. We need to get JD right, but we should be scoring runs with the best of them.

Martinez just looks dreadful at the plate.

 

If his swing gets any slower, he will be a statue!

 

I was looking at someone's tweet earlier. JD's 'expected' stats look a lot better than his actual stats. He's still off from last year, but he should be getting better results than what he is.

At this point Bobby Dee reminds me of Mark Reynolds.

 

I think that's a good/hopeful comp.

 

I know a lot of Sox fans hated hearing about Middlebrooks as a comp for Mark Reynolds - and Middlebrooks never even came close. But if Dalbec can even come close to Reynolds' 298 career HR with a .780 OPS, I'd be more than satisfied with him.

 

Not sure why Reynolds gets so little respect from baseball fans. He had a good career...

The one bad thing about beating the Rays is that it helps the Yankees

 

Yankees are a 3rd place team and barely over .500. I don't think the Rays or Jays losing here or there helps the Yankees much.

 

The Jays just need to beat up on the Yankees when they play each other 7 more times.

 

The Rays have no more games against the Yankees (they went 8-2 against them this season).
