I assume there will be acquisitions and possible changes due to the trade uncertainty. Wait a couple of weeks as we may well find another starter or reliever along the way.

 

Yes, I posted this as a basis of where we are at now. I expect some additions.

Verdugo is a plug and play guy. I think he will have a ceiling of a 4-5 WAR guy, one who would be really useful. Reminds me a bit of Victorino

It would seem Sox might add an affordable RH OF to balance an all lefty OF. Remaining RH OF who had positive WAR in '19 (age, WAR):

I hatt the phrase "positive regression." Don't you mean progression? Or maybe just progress?

 

Positive regression is meaningless. The word "regression" implies negative growth, so how exactly does calling it "positive" change that? Where I come from, multiplying a negative by a positive is still a negative...

Regression can mean returning to a prior level of performance. In math, it’s called regression to a mean. If you’re above the mean, then it’s just regression. If you’re below the mean, it’s positive regression.

I think that it is obviously safe to say that for anyone who sees regression as being positive there likely will be just as many who see it as a simple step backwards regardless of the spin attached.
