Don't start with me asking tough questions.

Our starting rotation now consists of ERod, Porcello, Eovaldi, Johnson, and who knows.

Yikes!

No. He's on first....

It's funny that our rotation, which was supposed to be a strength of our team, has come to this.

They may surprise (pleasantly) though.

Keep the faith.

The opt out thing is over with. He's ours.

Yea. I know. We are stuck with mister bad ass. If he could just be a solid 3 pitcher I'd be cool with that. Just give us innings and a respectable ERA. All for the price of what????? like 30 mil a year......uggg

Not so sure on that Bell. What player is a winner on this team?

Mookie is gone. He aint going to be back in Boston.

Most of the guys on the team were in a parade last year IIRC

Benintendi shouldn't be going anywhere, for one thing. There's been talk of trading him. I think that's pure nuttiness.

Everybody loves Devers and XBo right now. With good reason. But it wasn't always so.

What have ya done for me lately? is the cry of most fans.

If we just had regular run of the mill pitchers that only gave up 4 to 5 runs a game....... we'd have 100 wins already. Our boys can hit. We could also use a catcher that isn't a dumbass....

Ok. Xman has always been a stud. There was little doubt he would grow into being a super stud.

Devers................. a hitting machine. Dude looks like he never will look old enough to not be carded for a beer, but it was easy to see the dude can hit.

I get you though. We are saddled with some crazy expensive contracts.

How much are we paying our DH?

JD - 5 years @ 22 mill average

He has opt-outs after this year and next.

He was a fine signing by DD.

22 mil for a DH? You have expensive taste.

With Sale back, trading Betts becomes less urgent.

But if the goal is to reset the taxes, I would try to trade Barnes (who still has value and no shortage of interested teams) and try to trade Bradley and Hembree. But if either of the latter two cannot be dealt, I would non-tender them.

But the foundation of this lineup over the next 3 years is Bentendi, Bogaerts, and Devers...

Barnes is our hidden gem. I keep him

And for the Red Sox, he has more Silver Slugger Awards than seasons played.

I doubt he opts out this year, unless there is some serous writing on the wall about a full scale rebuild than he doesn't want to wait through. But I don't think that happens, and I think that JD stays for 2020, but might opt out for 2021 when his salary drops by about $4mill...
