31 runs in our last 4 games. Hopefully the offense keeps this up. With the way this bullpen is going we need every single run.

Brewer got the cheap win.

 

We all scoff at the win and save stats, and you can get cheap meaningless tallies in both categories, but you have to be pretty good to put up 200 wins or 300 saves, even if you discount the category.

The Sox BP never relinquished the lead, with 6 different relievers coming into the game after Weber. That's almost like 5 additional save opportunities that they didn't and can't get credit for.

Walden, Brasier and Hembree were credited with holds. Taylor was not. Judgment call, I guess.

If your playing down to your Opponent, then you got a problem. It is important to know that you are playing a weak team, and do what the better team does, it takes care of business, and wins. Playing down to an Opponent shows laziness, and Champions should not be playing that way.

This was an important series.

Not because we played a weak KC team, but that we took care of business. If we lost here, then I knew this team had big problems. There is hope now.

Best way to evaluate a team see how they do against weak Opponents, not the strong ones, that's a given it will be tough.
