Holt and Chavis, both upgrades though from anytime Nunez played, although I thank him for his clutch HR in the WS and his yeoman work that year.

Marco was fantastic and all I can say is what depth the Sox have that they can afford to send a hot hitter down to minors because of numbers situation.

Pearce and Eavoldi, our WS heroes, complete disasters for what we've received since their contracts signed. That's just bad money after bad...a Sox tradition of bad signings---Crawford, Sandoval--epic bad.

It’s not like it’s unique to the Red Sox. Free agency produces tons of bad contracts for nearly every team. It’s a bad thing to rely on.

But comparing a one year $6mill contract for Pearce to the nightmarish deals of Crawford and Sandoval is a bit of an overreaction along the lines of comparing a shaving cut to an accidental amputation...

I think in this case it would be 'bad money after good'...

And let's not write off Eovaldi just yet.

Sure the Red Sox have made bad free agent signings. Every team has. And apparently the Sox fans never forget about the Lugo’s and Renteria’s of the world.

Of course the Sox might have also made the single greatest signing in the history of free agency by inking a minor league deal to an obscure DH/1b from Minnesota...

That throw by Mookie last night was among the very best throws in the history of this game.

Absolutely ridiculous.. video game ridiculous.

I agree. Even the Ray's announcers are still talking about it/

I went to the Phil Collins concert, last night, here in Houston. Everyone was talking about it. Phil dedicated a song to Mookie. The screen behind the band kept showing the play over and over to the beats of the songs.

The whole world is on Mookie fire!
