Porcello ® vs. Godley ®

First things first: this sucker starts at 7:10 EDT, and it's not a school night.

Bad as Rick was/is (ERA 13.50) , Godley is right there with him (11.81).

The Sox have a horrendous run differential of -19, but Arizona's is -13. However, they are 3-4 (all road games) and we are, oh, yeah, 2-6.

And how many lefty bats can Cora count on? I see six: Beni, Devers, JBJ, Holt, Moreland, and Swihart. I don't think it's time to rest Mookie, JDM, or Bogie.

That's a double reference, to small sample sizes and rattlesnakes.

Go Sox.

Bring on those rattlesnakes, I double dare ya.

The thing about a small sample size like this one is that it's the only one we've got right now If you want to swing back to 2018 and tell me how great we were a year ago, I'm with you, but will remind you 2018 was successful in part because the Sox went 17-2 in the first 19 games and didn't take their 6th loss until April 27th. The Sox got their 6th loss in 2014--the year after winning the WS--on April 10th.

All that said, I continue to believe there is no way this year's model won't get to the postseason. Too much talent.

i believe the Sox are losing at a faster pace this season in order to let MVP off the hook for our sig bet.

on another note...Arizona has a swimming pool at their stadium. cool or nah?

What was the other sig bet? Or is this just because I was stanning for Pedey in the offseason?

its the Pedroia bet. but i thought you only have to keep it until we get to 15 L's, yes?

Won't be able to watch the game as I have no power as the electricians upgrade and won't be done till probably 8..... The way the Sox are playing lately, I am not all that sad by this.

I forgot that part! s***, I wish they had 14 losses at ASB.

Beni looks hopeless with the bat.

He swung at 2 balls in that AB.

That’s not a good recipe to get out of a hitting slump

I'm too tired to complain about how we have a hard time getting off to fast starts

Looks like they are trying for HR derby rather than just get hits.

Swi had a good AB there. Stayed back on the Curve but didn't try to knock it out of the park. Made sure to make solid contact and stay on plane instead of trying to bash the thing. That was a good AB.

Holt should have done more with his pitch. If anything that was a better pitch to hit than what Swi got.

If Holt had done more with his pitch Porcello could be bunting two guys over now.

As long as Porcello keeps pitching a shut out we should win this.

Well at least they got a run out of the lead off hitter of the inning doing his job. I just hate when lead off gets on and we just flub up the rest of the inning. Of course we have seen darn little of lead off hitters getting on so far this year.
