Aside form throwing the ball into center field on a steal attempt, Swihart looked pretty good with 3 hits, a dinger, and a couple of runs scored.

 

But they should have released him cause he can't hit and he sucks.

One thing I can say for Nat's effort tonight. I saw more nervous feet in the batter's box when the A's were hitting than I have seen in any other bunch of hitters facing a Sox starter so far this year. Could almost see the A's hitters asking Swi "hey, does this guy have any idea where these are going?" Swi answers...."I would not get too comfortable if I were you".

Just watching him run the bases ought to tell some of the naysayers something. he is an athlete who has not had the opportunity that possibly he will get this year. Maybe we finally do find out what he is capable of. My bet is with him!

Ya me too. But maybe last night was the spark we need to get this offense going. The bullpen has been good. As long as the starters are decent and the offense can put up even 4 runs we should be ok.

Puppies are like Spring Training for human babies. It's a road I never want to go down again. Kids are great, but the first 6-12 months is not my favorite.
