Send Sale back to spring training.

It does appear that Cora did soft pedal the workload for all in ST, probably due to the long run through the WS last year. And the fact that it is a marathon, not a sprint. With Sale's pitch count , we will get to see some of the bullpen questions start getting addressed tonight. Like a few others here, I think this 11 game road trip will result in a slow start with a 5-6 or 6-5 record. Not a disaster nor an omen of things to come but just a sense they are still getting up to baseball speed. LOB means Left On Base.

Then Encarnacion puts another silver bullet in his bat. Hated that guy for years

Well at the moment Sale is not throwing a single pitch well. I don't know that it means anything. Just pointing it out ....well....to point it out.

Sale is having a terrible game. These are bombs.

Early but i always been worried about his velocity. s***** way to start the season after that nice contract.

This is the best thing that's happened to Seattle since the Broncos snapped the ball over Peyton Manning's head to start the Super Bowl way back when

It's easy to see why Sale jumped at that 5 year extension. The Sale that the SOX traded for a few years ago no longer exists. He's gonna have to recreate himself from a fire-balling pitcher into an average fastball and change-up pitcher. Perhaps by doing this, he can pitch a complete season.

No pitcher can be that wild in the strike zone like that. He was wild out of the strike zone and only corrected far enough to be wild in the strike zone. The first earned him a bunch of 3-2 counts and I think one walk. The 2nd got him bombs.

It does look like Sale is coming onto the years when he has to mix more pitches and that can really throw a guy off especially early in a season. Sale is surely used to just going FB/FB/Slider, sit down hitter.

I second that, It's actually really bad..

I am not sure there is a worse booth combination in baseball, national or local.

Hate to say it, but today was a must-win. Sale on the mound, the Yankees already having struck first. It's going to be a season-long battle, but we had to come out and make a statement. This wasn't it.
