Just coming here to post the same thought. Rivera deserved first ballot, no question, but the Babe couldn't get 100%? Ted Williams? DiMaggio? Just illustrates what POSs some writers are.

 

Not to take anything away from Mariano, because he truly deserves the 100% vote, but the fact that no one before him received 100% of the vote is yet another reason why the HOF voting is such a joke. It needs to be fixed.
