We certainly have some higher hopes on a few key players.

I'm hopeful and cautiously optimistic, but I do wish we had a couple blue chippers in the system.

Sure. But as things stand, DD didn't trade away any certain blue chippers either.

No prospect is really "certain", but Moncada was a "blue chipper." Some might say Kopech and Espinosa were or close to be blue chippers. (BTW, Moncada is off to a nice .948 start with 6 HRs in less than 100 ABs.

Who traded Yoan Moncada?

In all Minor League games yesterday, Sox Minor Leaguers had 104 at bats, with 47 K's. Whatever happened to making contact. No wonder we have nobody except for Duran with a good average.

47 outs, that Opposition, did not have to do anything. This is bad philosophy, about Launch angle, and swinging for the fences. Especially at a young age.

I was just reading Pitchers are now being taught, to pitch high in the zone, so they can negate Launch Angle. Easy outs now.

Duran’s teammate Fitzgerald is ripping the cover off balls hitting .370 on the season.

Fitzgerald is weird, he is 24 years old, 25 in June, wasn't Drafted, and just in High A Ball. Graduated late I guess. Signed as a FA. We'll see if it continues with him. By this age should be in Double AA at least.

Saw Duran play for Lowell last year, nice swing, but don't expect a lot of Power. He'll be 23 in Sept. right on track with him. He basically skipped Single A Ball. And is still hitting. Nice. He jumps to Double AA this year, and continues, now we really got something. Drafted in 2018, and Double AA by 2019, that's sweet. Bennintendi kind of stuff.

Unfair since the Sox like to draft college guys.

But the Sox farm is also ranked 30th overall, so being 29th in a category is an improvement...

There's nowhere to go but up.

Howlett with his first tater of the season for greenville! I really like this kid’s swing,

Castillo with his 4th tater of the season.

Duran with two more hits tonight and 2 more stolen bases. Now hitting .409! He’s a machine.

and the baseball tragedy that is Rusney Castillo continues. Not many people talk about this but this one just seems so odd.

As I said in the other thread, baseball-wise his career got screwed by luxury tax rules shenanigans.

Got back from Portland game with Hartford, Portland overmatched, 3 hits only. Dalbec didn't look too good 2 K's. Hitting .188 at this point. Tougher League, against some older Pitchers, expect it for now.

Casas with his third tater of the season tonight. As the season progresses his swing is starting to look better,

Duran went 2 for 5. Now hitting .404 on the season.

Fitzgerald went 2 for 4. Now hitting .344 on the season.
