This is the best Red Sox team ever but for those of us who have around a long time (this was my 52nd season) NOTHING will ever top 2004.

That was just special especially for those long suffering red sox fans who have waited years.

After 2004, I realized that I could die a happy man. Growing up in L.A. in the late 1950's, being a Red Sox fan was a lonely business.

Yeah 2004 is and forever will be a legendary team. As great as this team is that 2004 team will always be celebrated like The Beatles.

This is the 2nd greatest Red Sox team behind the 2004 Red Sox. Just my opinion.

Man, the only reason you say that is because they broke the curse and came back down 0-3 to beat the Yankees.

This year's team steamrolled 2 100 win teams and the Dodgers and not to mention won 108 regular season games.

The 2004 season was up and down.

This year they were rolling from start to finish

The 2004 team was special because they were the first (and they eliminated the Yankees after being down 3-0!) but IMO the 2018 is an overall better team.

2004 team barely played .500 for the first couple of months. Their first half was very flat and under-performing. Edited by a700hitter

Yeah I think we have to make the distinction between "best" and "most memorable". 2004 will always be the one that we compare all others to, but this season is the most dominant from a baseball point of view. Nothing will ever be better than that 2004 championship for Red Sox fans, but the 2018 Red Sox are a much, much better team objectively.

E-Rod in the clubhouse blasting "New York New York" and someone (I believe Vazquez) yelling out "f*** them".
I love the hatred part of the rivalry. Three consecutive division Championships including a World Championship is really starting to get under the skin of the Skankee fans big time. I love it.

Seeing Sale strike out Machado for the final out was golden. The excitement I felt in that moment may never be replicated again.

I am also very happy that Pearce got the series MVP. He definitely deserved it.

I saw where they had changed his wikipedia to say he was the owner of the Dodgers baseball team and the new mayor of LA ;)

I only wish I had the idea to do it haha. Before that it said that he had a massive dong and walks around the house naked with nothing but his 2018 WS MVP trophy

Somebody mentioned the two trucks from Chevy and since the car companies have gotten into the act I have felt for the longest time that they are the major stumbling block to co-MVP. They are just not going to dig into their pockets for the second vehicle.....bastards.

This year really really deserved to be a co-WS-MVP year. To be honest if it had to be one guy, IMO the one guy should have been Price. That said Price alone would have been my second choice to Price/Pearce and Pearce alone would have been my third choice.

I completely agree! I was PRAYING Price would end it by bringing that ********** to his knees!

BEST WSC ending EVER!

I kind of agree with you about Price. He REALLY stepped it up when he pitched the final game of the ALCS and has been great ever since.

2004 is legend. But 2018 is the best Sox team as they steamrolled everybody.

Machado needs to get drilled the first chance we have next season.. I love that he struck out and slipped to make the final out. Revenge is sweet!!!

Congratulations to all my old bdc buddies and others. It was a helluva season. A Red Sox team of Superheroes including X-Man, Iron Man Eovaldi, and Nunez, the Black Knight from Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Somehow Kinsler lost his superpowers in Game 3, but the Justice League prevailed in the end over the Blue Meanies Macho Machado, the Spiker and the Puig Monster. Edited by mediasrojas

Beating the Astros, 3 straight, at their Home Park, make this team the best, that team was loaded.

On the road.

2-0 Yankee Stadium

3-0 Minute Maid Park

2-1 Dodgers Stadium, lost 1 game in 18 innings, by 1 RUN.

Has nothing to do about Homefield Advantage, great teams win on the Road. That's what measures great teams.
