The trifecta of micro-managing managers that I can't stand, Showalter, Scioscia, and Maddon, could all be ousted in the same season.

you will be 2 out of 3, Theo won't let Maddon go

Buck always runs his course, doesn't he?
His track record is that the year after he is fired, the organization wins the World Series --1996 Yankees and 2001 Diamondbacks. Watch out for the O's in 2019! LOL!

A hat trick of pricks.

Hey Dewey, finally we will have a chance of the Orioles bringing some big leaguers to Fort Myers. That prick Showalter hadn't brought a big leaguer to fort Myers in years. I hated that.

The Mets are beginning to compile names and line up interviews to determine the identity of their next general manager, though Blue Jays VP of baseball operations Ben Cherington won’t be interviewing for the position, SNY.tv’s Andy Martino reports. While neither Cherington or the Mets commented on the situation, Martino hears that Cherington is happy in his current job in Toronto.

Not many will have any sympathy for Buck. But Duquette put that train wreck together. He should get most of the blame.

Or the owner.

Ben has withdrawn his name from consideration from both the Mets and the Giants. He is in demand. He'll GM again when the time is right.

Buck had been making a habit of leaving teams and then they go on a world series run. Happened in NY, ARI and Texas. My guess it wont be happening in Baltimore

My sense of it is that Showalter may be a decent developmental manager and a lousy finisher. When he first started managing in Baltimore, he gave that team a good kick in the ass. They used to roll over against the Red Sox. After Buck, they started to get combative and weren't intimated by the big bad Red Sox any more. As talent developed and free agents were acquired, they had their chances, the biggest being the year that he lost a series when he held off using Zach Britton in a tie game. It was all downhill from there.

Two teams have fired Showalter and then gone on to win the World Series the next season, and the third team fired him and one season later starting finishing second and first in their division (including two World Series runs).

This guy does have a track record of holding teams back and then being labeled a genius for it...
