OK, I don't believe Johnson can get the win because he didn't go 5 . Does Hembree get it ? If Johnson replaced a starter for whatever reason after one batter, I think he would get the win.

Otero is RH pitcher , SS

WTF! My lying eyes. I'm going to have my eyes checked, asap. I wish I could lie and say I was drunk. Please disregard my ignorant PH posts. Do what you want with my other ignorant posts.

Brasier for the 8th and Kimbrel for the 9th? (I use Kimbrel no matter what, he hasn't pitched since Saturday).

Agree, he actually may need the work just to stay sharp. No telling what tomorrow brings

That's ok pardner. I wanted to replace Mitch's sorry ass with Pearce earlier.

I don't think they'd give it to Hembree, Bob. But it's me saying that, so consider the source.

Amazing how much better the outcome is when the bottom of the lineup strings a few hits together and you get 3 HR's. Cures a lot of ills quickly.

Marlins BP can’t throw strikes. It’s embarrassing.

5-3 Marlins in bottom 7. 6 outs for NYY. They lost Gregorious and Chapman to DL overnight. Still shaping up as one of the WC's, maybe with the full lineup back. Almost 40 days to a play-in game.

No Johnson can't get the win; the scoring rules say it should go to the most effective reliever.

If I had to guess right now, I think Workman will get the nod. Hembree did give up the homer; Workman pitched with just the 2 run lead while Barnes had a 4 run cushion.

The true test of Brian Johnson's abilities will be to see how he handles RedSox killer Melky Cabrera. If BJ can hold him 0-2 in 5 innings, he'll be my LH'ed hero. Think of tonight as being down 0-2 in the ALDS going against a 15 game winner with your #5. See if the hitters can summon a clue about their chosen profession.

Result : Red Sox 8--Wahoos 5.

Check my call from this A.M.

That would certainly be fair depending on how it ends. I would have laughed if the scorer wound up giving it to Hembree. Johnson has been short started ( for reasons) in more than a couple games. Builds up the BP W's.

BP is cumulatively 20-8 not counting Pom's results.

Interesting> I have been around a long time and I hadn't ever thought about that. Most effective reliever. There must be some way of qualitying that.

All of us have occasional "ignorant posts", SS. Some of us will even admit it. You at least contribribute to the board discussion.

Twitterman (I call him that because his posts are always in the game thread, short, generally negative and very much stream of conscience type and overall boring) is the ultimate in ignorant posts.

Nope, strictly the official scorer's opinion.

How can the replay take so long. He was clearly out.

This is what is wrong with replay.

Just make the right call and get it over with.
