Could not agree more. None of this is Eovaldi's fault because he is an innocent bystander. I think one of the announcers said he heard that Cora also forgot to tell Eovaldi he should try to pitch well tonight. Just a little bit of encouragement from the manager makes all the difference.

If Eovaldi wasn't in the game he likely wouldn't have allowed EIGHT RUNS and put the game out of reach. Guess you think this is the dress rehearsal.

No question that Dan Butler's one night back in the saddle is a bad intro. He also will need to catch one of the games tomorrow, right? Of course, he can't catch balls that are being hit hard

Eovaldi had none of the velocity we saw recently. Ninety or 91 MPH across the center of the plate. Was his tipping pitches or what was happening.

It would be good to get Kinsler back to shore up the defense but to see JBJ make a critical error was discouraging. Maybe just one of those nights. Two in a row come to think of it.

I wonder how many plays JBJ has made that saved runs. I'm guessing he's still ahead on that one.
Totally agree but that was a bad error at a bad time.

Here's the challenge ; See if the hitters lay down and phone it in or can score 9 and still win it. I bet the O's do not score again.

Hmmm that’s shocking. His velocity has a been consistent. That would be concerning.

Lol what a disgraceful start. Couldn’t even get out of the 3rd inning against the worse team in baseball.

The worst team in baseball has won 6 of their last 12 games.

Last night the Sox looked just as bad against the Jays. Porcello and Eovaldi both apparently decided to mail it in. Or they are terrified of pitching on the road.

He was throwing 97. Its his command that was absent. Too bad Cora didn't see that in time.

He was overthrowing and overusing the cutter tonight. Should command his fastball to the corners first. He didn't.

Good stuff. Credible.

Huge triple by JBJ. That passed ball was actually strike well inside the strike zone. He still would have gotten home of Betts ran to 1B and beat the throw.

How do you come back from 8-3 down ?? One run at a time, 5 innings later , the Sox will be winning this game.
Good plan if the BP can stop them. That is debatable.
