Maybe? I haven't heard. What I don't understand is why no team offers some salary relief for Castillo, and take a chance on him. He's tearing it up in Pawtucket, 2 very good years back-to back.

Tearing it up?

Yes, the BA looks very nice, and an OPS of about .825 is good, I'm not sure I'd say he's playing so great as to get other teams drooling over this 31 year old.

I'm not that good with the way this all works, but it might be the same reason he's not on our 40 man. I'm guessing that if another team took him and had him on their 40 man roster, the money the redsox were paying him would go towards their luxury tax.

Only if the other team agrees to pay all his salary, would we agree to trade him.

The fact that no team seems to think he's worth it answers why he's not on our 40 man roster as well, since most teams are not paying a tax on their budget and none but us are paying the max.

Yeah, it's wrong, but I also have no love for penis head.

My Gawd are you in 7th grade? How dare you use that word here!!1!!!

Seriously, are you speaking of Gardner or as I call him "Mini Me"? (Doctor Evil)

When they make a movie of this season, Alan Alda has agreed to play the head of the SOX medical staff, but only if there are helicopters in the film. The name of the movie will be SOX MASH.

I will approve production of a pilot only.

And only if Guerin Austin can play Hot Lips.

Maybe because no one wishes to gamble 40 million dollars on a prospect on the wrong side of 30?

Man what a bummer. I absolutely LOVED the Kinsler pickup. Damn.

As you know, I am no doctor.

I have a hunch that Kinsler will not have a protracted recovery.

Sox have called up Tony Renda to play 2nd base.

He is a .290/340ish MiLB AAAA type.

Another midget at 5'8"

He was a second round pick in 2012.

He is 27 1/2 and has played about 32 games in MLB.

I am super pumped!!1!!

That was a short tease of what we had expected from Kinsler. Right now we are back to ground zero without a second baseman who can field.

Huge bummer agreed. I assume Lin gets the start tonight, but who knows?

5'8" is considered a midget now? Wow I gotta go rethink my whole life now

Cora said recently that Lin is "the best defensive infielder our system". Was Cora blowing smoke? Who knows, but Cora is developing a reputation for being candid and honest.

5’ 8” sounds about right for a 2B.

I was half hoping he’d plunck Gardner again at the end, then bring in Kimbrel. Is that wrong?

LOL Emp. I wasn't hoping for it, but truth be told, I probably would have enjoyed it if it happened. Just not at the head.

That said, it was more important to close out that game and get the win. You don't want to go messing with stuff like that and risk putting a runner on base.

Rick Freaking Porcello

What else needs to be said about last night's game?

That game was very entertaining, but in a much different way than Thursday's game was.

We already have the split. Let's go for the kill!

5'8" is a midget in sports. Altuve looks like the midget who can kill Aaron Judge with a glare alone.

Not for 2B it isn’t. Or for SS up until Cal Ripken Jr. of course.

By MLB standards it does seem small.

I'm 5'7".

I enjoy watching small guys do well.

The Sox have more than their fair share of short guys.
