Was it a HBP?

This sucks. Never like to see injuries to stars. Even the MFY players.

Could be a rally cry for the team though.

Yeah it was a HBP. Sucks, wrist injuries suck, it killed Xander last season.

Tough break.

Like Slasher said, even with the Yankees, you don't like to see this type of thing.

Hopefully, this won't sideline him for too long.

Yep, sorry to hear this. I want to face the best, when we meet again. Only makes the Sox better, and pushes us against other teams.

By all accounts Judge is a quality guy. I want to beat the ever loving snot out of the Yankees, but not this way. Judge and Sanchez are both out for a while now.....no Sox fan has any right to complain about our injuries any more.

Fortunately the Yankees only have seven games against teams over .500 between now and Sept 1st. They should still be in good shape to win plenty of games without Judge and Sanchez. I just hope the injury list doesn't grow.

Nobody likes winning due to opponent injuries, but we've had our share over recent months and years, including several players playing hurt.

Yeah I don't cheer when a player gets injured. And I too would like to beat the Yankees when both teams are at or near to full strength.

Still, my heart pumps piss for the Yankees and their obnoxious fans.

By the way, I don't believe Talksox Yankees fans are obnoxious.

It sucks, I just hopes he can come back at full strength before the end of the year, wrist injuries are tricky I remember Ortiz a few years back a lot of us thought he was done, it took him a while to come back from that injury

Best case scenario, amputation at the elbow. Worst case, it becomes infected with a new strain of bacteria that leads to the first real-life zombie outbreak, and Judge is shot down by the New York National Guard while trying to eat tourists at Coney Island.

I don't care who you are. That is just funny.

  • Aaron Judge was originally projected for a three-week absence after suffering a chip fracture in his wrist on July 26, though Yankees manager Aaron Boonetold MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch and other media that Judge is going to need more time. Judge hasn’t yet begun swinging a bat, and an examination on Thursday revealed that the fracture still hasn’t fully healed. Once the pain subsides, Judge and the team are planning on a fairly quick return to the lineup, as Judge has been otherwise able to stay in game shape and train with the game while on the DL. Judge told Hoch and others today that he doesn’t anticipate being out of action for much longer.

Like I said from the beginning, this isn’t structural. The hematoma has to resolve. Once it does, his pain will relent. That usually takes 3 weeks. He’ll be back soon

So a chipped bone isn't structural? I'm guessing you are not an engineer.;)

A chip fracture is literally a tiny piece of bone that chips off. With the MRI, they were able to determine that there wasn’t a crack going through the rest of the bone. So no, this isn’t structural and it’s all about pain control.
