JBJ should be back in center. Betts in RF. C'mon, Cora, I know you can do it.

That should have happened last inning....JBJ might have had that triple.

WHAT. A.PLAYER.

I can't believe I was ever worried we were getting the right guy with this signing.

Man, this team is fun to watch. When they're behind you can't help but feel that it's just a matter of time.......

JDM should have 30/80 by the A-S game

I felt the same way too. I blame it on being on the East Coast and we don't get to see the good players on the left coast as much.

JD playing RF is dumb. FFS Cora.

No no no!!!!

Cora stated that the Sox stats department say when JBJ is out this is the best outfield defensive alignment in Fenway.

One must bow to the stat geeks.

They are Gods around here.

He is an ideal RBI guy (high average, lots of power) and he has Betts and Beni as high on base percentage people in front of him. The bottom of the order didn't contribute much tonight but the top is strong enough to make it happen.

It was still the right move IMO.

I actually think Cora knows these pens we face are awful. His basic in-game decision approach is that none of the opponents we face have even decent pens and he is in fact right. Last decent pen we saw was what...Yankees I would bet. We go a couple weeks at a time without seeing a decent opponent pen. Having watched so many of these games this year, we have to admit that Cora is banking on scoring more runs late in game and he is right virtually every time.

Pardon my ignorance, but if Betts replaces JD in RF, is JD allowed to become the DH?

No...I think. But it was a 2-0 game at the time and you cannot predict a 3R HR by Martinez...you have to play it safe defensively....IMO.

That's a really good question. Could JBJ replace Pearce and become the RF, moving JDM to DH? And then switch JBJ & Mookie?

I don't think so.. but I'm not sure.

True, but it's a gamble losing JD's bat in the line-up.

Something wrong with Brasier---only 14 pitches for 3 outs. He'll have to muscle up to the 20-25 pitch range if he is to stay in this pen

Nice little run this team is on....it can't last like this forever but its sure fun to watch.

The Yankees have to be in panic mode....they will overpay for a SP very soon because the guys not named Severino or Sabathia for them are not very good. They will overpay because they have to in order to keep up with the best team in baseball.

Where did Ryan Braier come from. I never heard him mentioned.

Pawtucket....played for the Angels for a little while. Dude can bring it.

If you guys are talking about a position player moving to DH the answer is no. You can only replace your DH with a player off your bench.
