Maybe this would be feasible if Nunez wasn't worse than Devers. We have more useless players on the roster right now.

 

Easy solution is trade Devers + for Machado. Sign him long term. Move Bogey to 3rd. Also I'm in favor of puttong Nunez on the DL and seeing how Lin can do. Screw the luxury tax, we aren't going to keep pace with the Yankees without being aggressive.

I'm honestly fine with Devers just staying in the lineup and figuring it out. He's 21 and on an absurdly cheap contract right now. Patience is something we definitely need to have with him. Now for 2B, Nunez sucks, we need someone better there.

If you want to know the truth of it...XB's slide last night looked more like he has taking a header off a diving board. That was ridiculous. He should just forget all that nonsense at 1st base and forget the head first slides elsewhere as well. Not good at it. Geez I was almost surprised he didn't break an arm and I would not be at all be surprised if his wrist got caught up in that. In fact that might explain why he was so torqued off about it when he was getting up at 2nd base.
