not sure if nunez up instead of devers is an upgrade, they both are unlikely to do anything here. maybe we can get a wild pitch or an error
Agreed. Devers has good ABs today. Cora should have saved Nunez to bat for the pathetic Blake.

good news is by getting that error, we make sure the bums will hit in the 8th, so after jbj/swihart/leon go 1-2-3 in 8th, we'll get top of the order in 9th.

Moncada is a butcher in the field.

Look at that. Look at how far Mitch is over into 2nd base territory on that replay. That is just ridiculous and that is the run we are behind by now.

Still no comment from the NESN guys who have clearly gone to the YES NETWORK school of baseball broadcasting in the off season, along with the production crew.

"Oh ho ho ho....Jackie was looking for a HR on that swing" says Eck. Please.....can barely keep from throwing up as it is.

Swihart should bat from the right side no matter who is pitching. That LH swing now is pure misery. Makes my eyes burn.

I will say this for JBJ. At least he was back to stepping into every swing again. He is not mixing in the double toe tap on some swings or using it on any swings now. Going back to that toe tap was a bad bad decision no matter how noisy the swing he is using here. At least he has half a chance with this swing. Lord only knows what other part of his swing is about to fall apart on him though.

Unlike JD who's swing is always in a state of repair and refinement, JBJ's is always in some form of disrepair, waiting for it to fall apart completely.

sigh, i'm just tired of talking about JBJ. He should be gone. I'd take a .260 hitting, good but not great cf all day.

Barnes makes sure the game is over!

Barnes was doing well lately for Barnes. But honestly, he is always one stint away from one of these. He is what he is. Not awful really. Not sure why Cora has so much confidence in him though as he keeps throwing him in critical parts of games. That is what I would not be doing with Barnes.

Cora just let Barnes take us out of the game. That is what I don't get about the way Cora uses him. It will take a miracle now.
