This won't be a popular opinion. But if I had to guess, I would guess they are going to stick with Pom a bit longer. Somebody in that dugout challenged him to go back to his stock sequence and he did that, with limited success but he did it, showing the best FB he has shown in weeks. So my guess, having stuck with him this long and based on this performance he will get another start.

 

I still have half a bottle of pain pills left, so I can deal with that.

I mean come on, we all kinda expected pomeranz on road in Houston without Mookie and pedroia was probably an l coming in right?

 

Yes. This game had the feeling of an L before the first pitch. It’s actually closer than I expected it to be at this point

It might take half a bottle of pain pills. But based on what they have done with Pom to this point I am inclined to think that is what they are going to do unless of course he exacerbated some physical problem during tonight's stint.

Plus look at the schedule. The next time Pom is scheduled is at home against the laughable tigers of the laughable AL Central. I suspect he will get that start.

 

I have been really torn mainly because we don't find out anything anymore about player condition. If Pom is not coming back physically as they expected, if it were me, I would take the strain off of him because I had Wright and hope to get a really sporty Pom back before the season ends. But without any information other than what I can see of Pom himself and how the Sox have handled him to this point, my bet....he gets the start against Detroit.

We are going to need JD to hit a HR here....the bottom part of the lineup does not inspire confidence tonight. Would have been nice if Moreland and Bogaerts had reached...

Love Betts but it seems they’re very dependent of him. This sorry ass lineup tonight hasn’t done its job tonight.
