I give Gausman the edge only because Price has been so inconsistent. Last start good--2 runs in 5.1--but not a quality start. Smith, Velazquez, Kelly, and Kimbrel finished and allowed 0 runs.

 

Orioles 13-29 for year, 5-5 in last 10, 10-13 at home, and 3-16 on the road. Sox took 3 of 3 at Fenway a month ago.

 

Yankees are on their all-star weekend break two months early. They played 6 innings in 2 days in DC and are resting again today.

The Orioles have been scoring a lot of runs through the HR of late. Lets hope that we can get enough with our lineup. We are strong 1-6 and weak after that. No actions have been take to alleviate the back end of the lineup but maybe Holt will play tonight instead of Nunez and Devers will have his hitting shoes on.

Sandy Leon should not be on this team ...he's a scrub cut by the Nats for good reason .Dumpster diving for Catchers is not the answer .This team will never win a World Series with this guy and Vaz as the primaries at Catcher ...need a trade ASAP .Cut Sandy and play Swihart at Catcher and LF when JBJ is benched Again .Would a JBJ and Vaz for JT Realmutto be a start ? Swihart deserves a chance to play regularly, either here or somewhere else. He hasn't been given a fair shot at the job. He may or may not be better than who we have now, but we will never find out with him on the bench.

As for Bradley......Cora keeps inserting him into the lineup and expecting different results. Isn't that the definition of insanity?

I think that too, and I am the original anti-Holt guy. But his defense at 2B is good--Nunez's is awful, no range--and he is hitting for some strange reason.
