What overblown? I have never read anything on talksox suggesting that he is great or even near great. I think most of us would be happy with good, maybe very good.

 

As I said earlier, he's only 23 and last year, his rookie year, he was second on the team in rbi's and total bases. If we have a great player on this team, it's Mookie Betts and no one else.

I would be happy with very good, but there were comparisons right out of the box that he reminded people of Lynn and Yaz. His age 22 wasn't close to Yaz's or Betts. At age 23, Betts finished second in MVP, Lynn won an MVP and Yaz won a batting title, so I wouldn't put him in their class yet. People were making those comparisons, but I do think he will be very good.

Holt has turned into a very professional hitter. Not a great hitter but a professional hitter. We have a lotta' talent from the left side but it is young and is sometimes just brutal.

Again with the hands around the baseball instead of inside the baseball. Beni does get into grooves when he keeps his hands in but I think he is home run happy and thinks he has to crush the ball. Just hit it beni. It will go...TRUST ME
