Sox bullpen hasn’t even pitched yet this game tho?

True. I'm jumping to conclusions, but with some justification. Kimbel is probably unavailable. Whoops. Sale is out to pitch the 9th with over 100 pitches. So Cora seems to agree with me.

Sale is not going to give the pen an opportunity which is absolutely fine by me.

Not fine with me, but I certainly understand why.

I hope Pillar is really out. He got really greedy there. When are we going to learn how to tag runners?

Kimbrel was warming up?

Our infielders should be taking the ball to the corner of the bag first and then peck for the hand if they have to. Nunez is always pecking from the get go and frankly most of our infielders do the same darned thing. The runner has to get to the bag. So that is where he is most often going to be.

I did see that. But what killed him was the long pause between 1b and 2b. He rounded 2b about the same time the hitter was rounding 1b.

And that is why Cora should have sat him down. Essentially, that cost us this ball game, if we lose. That would have been the extra run we needed to win.

Nothing like a cup of coffee or a bang bang play to nail a runner at third to wake you up........ I like it

Meh. I like them to go for whatever is closest to where the ball hits the glove.

Have you not noticed how "well" that works out for them, particularly the last couple of years? There is no time to peck and pock and if there is time, then you will have it from the corner of the bag. Nunez was past the hand and had to come back to it which is actually normally what happens with the infielder tries to tag that way.

He is indeed. Cora wants to win this one. So does Kimbrel. Not sure about Hanley, however. That was an unforgivable slowdown.

I don't think they do what I like. I also don't know for sure what their tagging habits are. You could be right.
