Wow.

I would still like to go there to see a game. Everyone I know who has been there says that stadium is the balls.

Besides, I like Soft Shell Crabs!

I can taste the Lump Crab as we speak!

I was there 5-6 years ago for a 3-game series and it was great. The stadium is one of the best, the fans were friendly, and the entire inner harbor was welcoming to us Sox fans. Apparently it's changed now.

I can definitely live with Devers sac fly. At least it was a productive out. I wonder if Beni saw what tagging up looks like.

Sorry...I should have explained. I was commenting on Beni's outstanding field awareness on the base paths.

Ah, right! I see it now. (Thanks for explaining this without heaping abuse on me, my lineage, and my knowledge of the game!)

I remember someone here posting about it. Was it you who gave a ride to a tourist Red Sox fan to get him to his hotel? And you saw turned over burning cars etc.? I hear that the mayor wants businesses to self impose 9 pm curfews.
Yup, that was me. Me and two of my friends tried helping out those people, we sat with them the whole time and that was there first time in Baltimore and they had decent walk back to hotel.. Luckily that night was one of the only nights we ever paid extra to be in a garage. We had heard about the Freddie Gray stuff, but didn't think it would be that absurd. I had a friend who actually was supposed to go to the White Sox game, 2 days later on a Monday that got canceled, but the Orioles didn't cancel the game till late and she was stuck in Baltimore for 6 hours because they wouldn't let people leave. She hasn't been back to Camden Yards since and wont go back.

I can't figure out what the problem is with Sale?

Is Vaz eating too much, while he should be preparing for the game?

Just curious? I hear he and Brock have been having daily Fenway Frank eating contests???

Is THAT true?

I'm confused! I was there last year, and it was beautiful?

Was this a random thing?

I understand Baltimore Proper has PROBLEMS, but I thought the ballpark was fantastic !?

The Park, is fine, but the riot "series" was an awful problem and left a nasty mark on a lot of people, a lot of them wont/haven't returned, and the way the Orioles, and the whole city of Baltimore handled everything about the situation was disgraceful. The mayor is an idiot, the cops are corrupt, etc.

Vaz is a black hole with a bat

He hasn't been very good at all of late. It almost looks like the Red Sox lineup has gone back to Farrell's offensive philosophy of running up pitch counts as now they are fighting tooth & nail to scratch a single run across the plate. This is not the same aggressive team we saw a week ago....at all.

Watch sales landing foot ...tell me it's facing the plate ...next why is Dana not pointing it out ?

Funny thing about Sale is that last year and in years past when he would get into a funk he did not want to see the catcher out there...nor a coach. Now they really can't go out there. So Sale is probably happy about that. But he still at least IMO has to come up with a way to pull himself out of those things.

And I used to love Mo's Crabhouse. It is bad enough to navigate the terrible traffic in and out of Baltimore, but I don't want to put my safety at risk. That place is out of control. The crime used to be isolated to the red light District on East Baltimore street, so it wasn't a problem for baseball fans. I am hearing that that is no longer true.

Agree 100 percent ...They had a very successful approach and s*** canned it .

Sale's fastball has little to no tail and his slider is a batting practice pitch that just sits up on a tee for the hitters. A fastball with no movement is pretty damn easy to barrel up. The same goes with his slider. Those pitches aren't fooling anyone right now.

IMO part of the problem is that they're seeing different pitches now. When they were on the west coast they saw a lot of fast balls early and feasted on them. Now they're seeing breaking balls.

Someone (Emp?) made the observation a couple of days ago that it looks like when they left California word got out not to throw the Sox fast balls early in the count.

Camden is a great park, but the violence and issues with that city are a joke. f*** Baltimore.

They have pumped a ton of money into that city over a very long period of time. Used to have to travel there for biz a good deal and though there were a few nasty spots, it was pretty nice. That was then...this is now I guess.

Yeah, I'm not sure what they are even attempting to do in Baltimore, their is so much corruption and ******** going on there, its pretty much unfixable at this point. Orioles are even doing some pretty crazy deals trying to get fans in. I think all kinds under the age of 10 are allowed in free one adult ticket.

Yeh. My bad! I knew that. Yes. Just watching it on t.v. was frightening. I can't even imagine being there during that. We drove through during the day, from Oregon, and stopped there for a couple hours during the LATE MORNING / mid-day. Had a really nice time. Hung out at the ballpark, & went to some "famous" burger place right across the street from the park.

I can image that those nights were more than frightening!
