It is not surprising that Kelly would get the unjustified larger penalty as they were probably issued by that Yankee pimp, Joe Torre.

It's not surprising to me either. It wasn't much of a mystery that Kelly his Austin based on retaliation. I had zero problem with the retaliation either. You bet the Yankees would do the same if the roles were reversed.

Ugh, hopefully this isn't another nagging Nunez leg injury like he had last year.
You have to wonder if that knee situation fully healed. I don't think he runs as well as he did before the injury.

If that missed his wrist, it would have hit him dead in the side since it was still riding in when it hit him. That would have been a miss of about a foot!

Well, this is a silly argument, and you're changing the facts as you go. You said 5-6", which I thought was ridiculous; you now say it was a foot (I erredin accepting what you said the first time as what you meant). And I'm guessing (you apparently know, but I don't) that Hanley would not have started to swing at a pitch a foot inside that "would" have hit him square in the ribs. Maybe it "would" have, but that "would" not be supported at all by the video replay, which you may as well claim now is likely doctored and not real evidence.

I don't know what this ump is going to call. I would have not been surprised to see the 2-0 to JBJ called a strike

Man this ump is awful. I know it helped us there, but there is really almost no room for error for these pitchers. Like some others have mentioned, there is warnings, which takes away inside pitching, and now this guy has a tight strike zone and isn't giving outside corner?

it was still obviously still riding inside when it hit him. I am assuming he was trying to throw it inside off the plate. So you have to give him two inches off the inside edge. So he was 6-7 inches off the inside edge and if that missed his wrist it would even have been farther off the plate hitting him in the torso.

He looked pretty good running to 3rd there.

X rays negative, right wrist bruise, day-to-day according to MLB network .

Let's hope that's still what they're saying tomorrow.

The weapons have come to play it looks like. Going back and forth between this game and the Bruins and Leafs game. Tough to keep up with both lol.

Great AB's this inning. I know a lot of people don't like Moreland, but he is a fantastic bench piece.

I like Mitch. He's gotten quite a bit of criticism thrown his way but regardless he's a huge part of the Red Sox core players.
