I like Mitch. He's gotten quite a bit of criticism thrown his way but regardless he's a huge part of the Red Sox core players.

I'm not a big fan of him as a full time starting 1B, but as a bench player he's great. Its definitely necessary to have a good backup 1B with an injury prone starter like Hanley.

Should I post a poll?

Sure! We're all doctors here. We need a chance to exercise our expertise. Go for it!

The weapons have come to play it looks like. Going back and forth between this game and the Bruins and Leafs game. Tough to keep up with both lol.

Bruins fan here but they played awful down the stretch. Very tough series but it will suck to lose in the first round.

There will be a good many bad AB's with this home plate ump. Nobody knows what to expect for a strike zone.

Please tell that this is going to be called until it’s official, Porcello is pitching the best game I have ever seen from him.

I can't believe that ball didn't get out, Nunez killed that.

I'm not so sure the rain didn't kill it a bit. Nunez looked good when he pulled into 2B.

Weather claims ending around 10, so no worries. (Nice fielding by the Yanks, by the way! both in LF, home, and earlier 2nd.)

Yanks look awfully discombobulated. Wonder if the NY papers are already blaming this on Boone.

Probably. Boone had better get used to it. The NY & Boston media will eat you alive if you let them.

The Yankees flashing their gloves all over the field tongiht.

LOL....I was just about ready to type the same damn thing!

In case jacksonianmarch is still following, he should note that most of the complaints about the tight strike zone came when Grey was pitching.

I need to see that slide again - look like a real slide unlike the one Austin made last night.

It was a real slide and Sandy gave himself up early. It helps that he knew who was running to 1st. The problem I had with Austin's slide last night was that he went in cleats up and cleared the 2B bag by several feet before coming to a stop.
