Cobb, righty, vs. Porcello, edge to the Rays.

Game starts at 6:10, I think, so don't forget to check.

Six days ago, same two pitching, Cobb gave up 1 in 5 innings and Porcello 2 in 5 innings and the Sox lost 4-1, getting 4 singles against Cobb and 1 against the Rays bullpen. Not good.

I still like the Sox even though Cobb will surely be tough again and Porcello does not inspire me. However, that last time was a decent start if not a quality start. Plus the Sox have been pretty gritty after long games this year and usually won the next night.

Seven lineup guys--Bogie, Pedey, Benie, Betts, Moreland, Devers, and JBJ--played all 15 innings last night. Leon went about 9 and so did Holt I think.

If Pedey is still the DH, I think all 7 play again tonight, plus maybe Marrero for Holt at 2b and maybe Vazquez for Leon because Vazquez caught Porcello last time. Handy to have Swihart as the 3d catcher as several noted last night. Travis could play instead of Moreland.

These Sox may not have "fire," I don't know. But you can't convince me they aren't trying. That was heckuva game last night--a very tough win after the Yankees won easily.

Well, I just watched the first UConn football loss of the season (but we're still a rebuilding work in progress), so I could use a pick me up. Not like I have anything else going down on a Saturday night in college... Oh wait, I do. I'm playing in a poker tournament with a significant payout. Win. Dance. Repeat. x3

MLB should investigate the birds for tanking against the stankees! The funny thing's that they will try their best when we meet them after this series.

Anybody notice? Rich Hill gave up 4 hits, struck out nine and gave up his first HR in 10 starts. A 3-2 winner. We could hard him, shyyda had him, woulda had him (if DD was as smart as he;s supposed to be) Six mill it would have taken.

Vazquez moving up in the lineup has to be payback for last night. He looked like he wanted to kill somebody when Farrell pulled him for Leon in the 9th as a PH.

Moreland runs the bases like a moron. The minute that Souza released the ball Moreland and Butter should have known that it was airmailed and he could have walked to 3B.

and guys like Bogaerts, Ryan Sweeney can't hit them. lmao
Bogaerts is not in Sweeney's class in that regard. Sweeney is a big guy about 6'4' qbout 230. Yet, he went something like 600 ABs without a HR.

this offense won't stand a chance in the playoff

That's the only way they gonna compete in the playoffs unless the pitching becomes lights out. If they go out like last year i will be dissapointed. I want them to fight this year in the playoffs.

Xander sucks dick right now. That guy needs to f***ing hit

Four hits last night; on base six times. Ten pitch at bat today. Maybe he has turned the corner.....or not.
