I thought Dever's defense was in question. Everthing I've seen him do so far has been really impressive.

 

Saw him play in Portland and I thought his defense was outstanding! I was surprised at the "line" on him when he came up. Btw-- he's now 0 for his last 11 with 6 Ks. Is that a matter of concern to anyone?

Not really. He was never going to have a 1.150 OPS in a half season.

Guardians announcers are really mad about this call and want it to be overturned. Like REALLY mad.

 

I think they are venting about getting shut down by Doug Fister lol

He did that didn't he???? Almost just reached over the tag while sliding by...... that was pretty cool. If he just slid in he would have been out.

The thing with the JBJ play is it was near impossible to tell on replay for sure, so whatever its ruled on field is gonna be the call that stands.

It still kills me you only get the home teams announcers....... it goes to show you that two humans can see the exact same thing and come up with totally different conclusions of what happened.

I actually don't mind it. these guys aren't bad, but every announcer has some homerism in them and it REALLY came out that inning lol. But they seem pretty cool/unbiased. Its kinda cool to hear what other guys have to say about our players. They are really impressed with most our young guys, especially Devers and Mookie.
