Yeah.. this is a good point too? We had E-Rod and Johnson pitch to make up for the double header, so why the f*** is Fister pitching today? It makes no sense.

My guess is it's a last tryout to see if he has anything left to offer. Given what I'm seeing on Gamecast, he's failing it, and with Johnson and Velazquez showing they can at least be serviceable #6 pitchers, the tryout does not need to (and will not) continue. Farrell indicated he's be heading to the pen after this game, but I'm guessing he'll be released very soon, possibly before they head to the coast tonight.

You’re an *******. He wasn’t using the word towards anyone. Just expressing his frustrations and you get insulted by the word. But, you can make a comment on his communication abilities.

Thank you for the feedback.

Fister is awful. No stuff and no control. He threw 27 pitches in the first inning--15 for strikes and 12 for balls--and gave up two doubles and a run. The scary part is that he wasn't really "off," he was just being Fister.

When Farrell uses him in a reliever role, it's tantamount to putting up the white flag.

I understand about keeping the rotation fresh and not fatigued, but sending Fister out also signals to the lineup that Farrell is giving this game away.

We are now in the 4th inning, and Fister has given up 5 runs, 4 walks, and 5 hits. He has thrown 96 pitches--50 for strikes and 46 for balls.

Again I say, Farrell is sending a clear message to his lineup: I'm not interested in winning this game.

It's generational. The older generation (like me) was taught the use of the word was low-class. Younger folks don't seem to think that way. It is what it is. And just like you, harmony is entitled to his opinion. Based on subsequent posts, I note that it's you being the jerk here, not harmony.

Harmony started it by cherry-picking a use of the "f-word" that is used numerous times in almost every thread. He had no point whatsoever and was the one being the jack ass, especially with his follow up comment to my response.

I'm from the older generation, and that is one of my favorite words, but I try to use it with some discretion, which means I don't use it on blog sites.

So he has to be a no-cursing crusader? It wasn’t effecting him. He insulted someone’s class or intelligence. Yet, I’m the jerk for sticking up for someone.

A plus in today's game is that Fister should be gone for good--better late than never--and Holt might be as well. Everyone who raves about his versatility forgets that old saying, "jack of all trades, but master of none." I cannot think of a single position on this team that he plays really well, and his hitting is also suspect. Edited by Maxbialystock

Funny thing is, Toronto actually wants to win this game and replaced their starter while Farrell insists on keeping Fister out there. My box score says he has 53 strikes and 47 balls--horrible.

Oh awesome! If the game hasn’t sucked enough, let’s put Abad in.

I'm not a fan of Abad, but he's Aroldis Chapman compared to Foster.

You’re welcome, f*** head.

So you tell him it's use was okay because he wasn't using the word at anyone, and then turn around and do just that. Nice double standard.

You can have the last word.

It’s use was okay. He wasn’t using that awful word towards anyone. I was however. He is an ******* and I’m starting to think you’re too.
