This also doesn't need its own thread.

Well, this is the second thread I've started in the months since I came over from BDC. I'm totally intimidated from doing it to the point where I NEVER do.

However, IMO this was significant enough to all Red Sox fans that I believed that it warranted not necessarily a discussion of its own but a notice of what was happening.

I'll just leave starting of threads to you "real" TalkSox'ers from now on.

Nonsense. You have plenty of good things to say. You did not kill anyone by starting this thread. No harm, no foul.

MVP was correct. But you were not "really wrong".

Why? It's annoying and in the wrong place.

I agree VA. It's annoying to have a new thread started on every whim.

To MVP, keep up the good work in YOTN's absence.

Don't take it personally S5. It's not meant to be.

You're a good poster and you have a lot to offer. It just doesn't usually require a new thread.

Ppd :(

I'm so bummed. I'm rained in in a hotel room and I was really looking forward to watching the game.

At least I can watch the Jays/Rangers.

Thank you.

In my defense, I actually thought I was doing people a favor. I'd been wondering what the status of the game was and here was one of the places I'd checked. When I learned of the postponement my thought was that possibly others were doing the same thing, so I'd let them know. I did not expect there to be a lengthy discussion about anything related to it. I saw it more as a "Public Service Announcement" and fully expected the thread to be taken down by now.

Lesson learned. I'll let it fall under the heading of "No good deed goes unpunished."

I'll continue to post, and I'll be sure to not start threads. Everyone is happy.

I first heard about the postponement by seeing your thread title.

I live in Texas, so it's not all over the TV and radio.

I usually avoid the game thread, because I watch most games on tape delay.

I, for one, am thankful, since I was able to take my dog out for a long walk knowing the game wasn't about to start.

Thank you. That makes it worthwhile. Glad to be of help! :D

The Giants have the even year thing, we have the every 3rd year thing (except for 2010). Win. Dance. Repeat.

I'm not sure I will. Frankly you're one of the few I look for. The others seem to have taken their business else where.

Whoever runs this show has never bothered to access my image. Also it took about 4 months before I got out of the rookie class! My age probably has smething to do with it. I'll wager no one else on this this post had sat in the left field bleachers at Braves Field during the years Wally Berger was hitting 30+ home runs every year. (about the 3rd or 4th inning, the ushers would open the LF bleachers for us kids. We'd the join the other 50 fans.)
