This doesn't even look like the team we have watched all season.

I couldn't have said it better myself.

can't wait for the usual ******** from Price in the post game.

"Just wasn't locating pitches well enough, I have to locate better."

Well f***ing do it already.

The thing is he wouldn't be wrong. Think about the bad inning. An out. A hard hit ground ball single. An infield chop in a perfect spot followed by a bloop in a perfect spot. Then the one real bad pitch he threw all night.

The other run he gave up doesn't score if Holt turns the easy DP.

Don't get me wrong, he could have been better. But let's also be realistic. If he had pitched perfectly, the best he would have gotten is a no decision.

No phase of the Red Sox game showed up today.

All your hopes and dreams lie on the right arm of Clay Buccholz

Buchholz has pitched good in the playoffs. He keeps the team in the game. He has the stuff to keep them off balance. Sometimes being a little wild is a good thing. He pitched game 4 of the WS injured and kept them in the game. Besides that game against Toronto that they still won , he has been good.

Why do you have 33,000+ posts on your rival's message board? That's so...weird.

Because he has nothing better to do...I don't even think Yankee fans like him

When I say "usual ********" I mean this is not a one time occurrence. He's been saying it since his first start of the season.

Not even competitive. The Guardians are a good team but we made them look like world beaters in this game. This team need's some soul searching.

this team overachieved. it got lucky with the stupid mashing offense philosophy that cherrington was pushing. Thanks to the total f*** up of the rotation, they were pushed into a corner where they almost had to sign Price because no one else was out there, and Price has not delivered. We survived with this pitching but pitching dominates when you get to the postseason. They need to get another top of the rotation guy, and someone who's actually consistent and dependable. Preferably without giving up the farm, which is a tall order nowadays.

The manager's job is to get the team focused, but stay loose. The entire team looks tense. That's on the manager.

Horseshit.

A very apt and even commendable defense of Price.

However, I must point out two additional, compelling facts. First and foremost, Price only lasted 3.1 innings. If Farrell believed his starter just had a little bad luck, he would have left him in. Fact two, in the two games thus far in the ALDS, the starting pitchers have given up 10 earned runs and the bullpen--which has pitched more innings--has given up 1 unearned run.

Yes, the hittting was piss poor today, but Kluber is a bonafide candidate for the Cy Young and today we could all see why. He has really good stuff. Not a lot of K's, but very unhittable. Last night the hitting brought in 4 runs, and it simply wasn't enough because our starter in just 4.1 innings gave up 3 dingers and 5 runs.

The story of this ALDS so far is starting pitching, pure and simple. The Guardians have it--despite their injuries--and so far we very clearly have not had it.

Soul-searching. Got it.

I didn't much feel this way during the game, but someone else put it right. Very few of us expected the Sox to win the ALCS, but they did despite a rotation--and sometimes a bullpen--that threatened to ruin this season. The hitting has hit a rough spot, but also won an awful lot of games.

Someone else said something else right on target, that pitching tends to take over in the postseason. The Sox did not have great hitting in the 2013 playoffs, but they did have a team ERA of 2.00, and the bullpen was even better than that. In 2016 we have so far had too unimaginably terrible starters.

Cleveland should not be beating us with pitching. Bauer and Tomlin on Sunday. Please! They stink. We should have rolled to the AlCS, and I'll take my chances against Texas or Toronto. We s*** the bed in the last week and lost HFA and our hitters (our strength) are better at home.

I expect Buch to come up big on Sunday and our bats to come alive. I expect that Porcello will come back on 3 days rest on Monday. He is a natural sinkerballer so as long as he doesn't try to get k's high in the zone, I feel confident that he can prevail. Game 5 we can roll the dice with Price against Kluber.
