When Owens last pitched on a call up @ houston he was shelled, throwing 85. He doesn't fit. It was Elias or him, Johnson has has mental problems, not sure pitching in a pennant race is the best thing for him.

I'd consider it. I don't know his current pay and performance but I'd give it some thought. His history of good performance would be enough to consider it especially with the way our pen is performing.

 

No matter what, the Sox pay prorated minimum. Might be worth kicking the tires.
