They are pressing. Need a couple of duck snorts in those situations to fall in and then the hitters might relax a little.
Bradley saved Moore during the one period when he was struggling.

Baseball wasn't invented 15 yrs ago.

Golly gee then. I'm so glad about the Red Sox World Series rings from the 1910's! Unless you are a highlander, baseball history from before the age of 8 shouldn't matter to you. Thankfully, when I was growing up in the 80's, the Yankees sucked a big fat one too!

Actually the Yanks had the best record of anyone in the 80's.

But you seem to never let facts get in the way.

And I have watched the Yanks since the early 70's, so I have no idea about your before the age of 8 comment.

He's not getting paid to "not be great" though. He's getting paid to provide ace-level production, which he's not doing.

All I can say is in those 4 starts he allowed 9 runs (8 earned) in 31 innings, which equates to a 2.32 ERA. That will lead the league in a lot of years. The teams record in those games was 1-3 due to the offense, not Price. And in his last 4 starts in May he was just about as good (8 runs allowed in 27 1/3 innings, a 2.63 ERA).

Yeah, his last 2 starts have been clunkers, but even if he was back to good Price today, given the offense, he probably posts another L.

I'm far more concerned about the offense right now than Price.

If Price can't turn it around, this team is done.

looks like another long season!was hopeing to get an ace in price but, looks like sox are doing the same stupid things the yankees do.

10 k's and 4 runs -- a strange outing by Price, but you can't win without scoring a run. We have helped give the Rays a boost to their morale. Is there another slumping team that we could help revive?

The Angels are up next! Everyone pick up their starters in fantasy!

Sox shouldn't worry about the Rays. I am sure they will send a "thank you" to the Sox's front office.

A chloroform rag addressed to Tom Werner?

Oh please, oh please, oh please...

Losing games started by Price really hurts. Thank goodness tomorrow is an off-day and they can skip the #5 spot.

wait...isn't Price the #5 spot?

Been going on long enough. The club needs a severe dressing down, and a sever line up shake up. Here's waht I want to see"

Against RH pitchers:

Holt, Pedroia, Ortiz, Boegarts, Betts, Bradley, Hanley, Shaw, Leon

Against LH pitchers: Switch Holt and Pedroia, and Leon for Vazquez

Some alterations here and there. 1) Holt has to get back healthy, and 2) Vasquez needs to catch Wright.

Two very different assessments from the Pitcher ( Price ) "I had nothing with my best three pitches. This is the worst I have been this season." Farrell "He clearly had his best stuff this season including the shape of his pitches". Or something close to that.

To me I see a pitcher and a manager that are not on the same page. How do you correct problems when there is not common recognition of that problem?

Maybe Farrell concussed his two brain cells last night.

Not sure what to say anymore. We aren't pitching and now we aren't hitting. The season is starting to get ugly.
