Damn it. Need to keep the game close.

We need to keep it like this until we face their BP.

Wait, another HR.

Do I dare ask.... how is Clay looking?

Can't believe I'm saying this but in all fairness it could be worse.

..... still early I guess but that's ..... good to hear......

So that pitch to Shaw has been called a ball all night, then he decides to call it a strike on that pitch to Shaw.. Okay then, f*** being consistent.

and yes it, it should've been a strike, but the inconsistency drives me crazy.

Thanks. Now I begin to understand where this venom directed toward umpires comes from--the irrational belief that they are being unfair to our guys, which is just nonsense. One of us has already said he will stop watching a game if he sees the ump being unfair to our players.

7 wins and 10 losses thus far in June. We are in the midst of a June swoon.

Sad part's that we stuck with this lousy pitching. Need another good quality starter.

Sad part is that our lineup is struggling. Second night in a row the top five hitters have managed just 1 hit even though we still have the 8th and 9th innings left tonight. Sad part is that last night we had 3 on and 0 out last night in the 9th and couldn't get a run home. Pedroia struck out on a fast ball right down the middle.

I never said the umpire was being unfair, I just don't understand how he calls the same pitch in the same location a ball three times, then the 4th time he decides its a strike. This guy tonight has been awful. Has it impacted the game? who knows.

I haven't watched every pitch, but what I've seen says he has done pretty well. We are not losing because of the umpire, that's a certainty. We are losing because Chicago's pitching overmatches our hitting and because Buchholz so far this year is just a so-so pitcher and gave up 3 runs in I think 5 innings.

The umpire has been s*****, period. Stop rationalizing.

Sad part is we are also stuck with a manager who insists on Hanley hitting in the 5 hole. AND NOW IT'S THE 4 HOLE!

C'mon man! One 500 ft bomb does not make up for his terrible performance overall. Put him No. 8 or 9 until you find someone else.

This game was almost over after the first two pitches, a first pitch dinger followed by a first pitch double which led to Chicago's second run. Since then the score has been 1-1--except that Chicago started with a 2 run lead and a very good starter on the mound.

Well, I stand corrected. The Red Sox played great tonight and got beat by the homeplate umpire. I can't wait to read the headlines in the paper or on the internet tomorrow: "s***** umps cost the sterling Red Sox another bitter loss. When will this nightmare of injustice, inaccuracy, and perversion end? MLB desperately needs robots calling the games."
