People thought that he was going to be an automatic top-of the-rotation guy when he joined to the staff after his injury. He's a kid who still has to be shaped, and going to take time. DD has to upgrade this staff with someone.

 

I agree. Our pitching is still really holding us back. It's shocking that we'll be in first (after this game ends) despite it. Price and Porcello have been great, but when they lose it seems to be because of a lack of run support, but a loss is still a loss. I think a real top of the rotation guy is keeping us from being as good as the Cubs. We definitely have the offense.

With another top-of-the rotation arm type, we can compete vs Cubs any day of the week. IMO our offense is better.

 

On the other hand, I don't know what to think regarding our BP moving forward.

Rusney Castillo on the season has had 4 plate appearances and is 2-4 with a .500 batting average, despite only having 4 plate appearances he's scored 5 runs, what an efficient stud.

I think a lot of credit has to go to Wright. He is not only the best pitcher on the team. But, in the American League.

Rodriguez will be fine, but the 5 spot in the rotation is still a massive black hole of utter and absolute suck.

Great game for the x man! Plz finish the sweep tomorrow!!! They have had chances to sweep teams

this year but haven't done so. Need a good performance from porcello. Go Sox!!!!!

It seems to be the case of inconsistency with this team. Price is finally getting consistent and pitching good.... Porcello is still inconsistent. I still think if we make playoffs Price Porcello and Wright are good enough to carry us deep.... E rod is still a big question mark. If the offense keeps playing this way though it won't matterm who's pitching. Unfortunately the offense is known to lay an egg at times we have great pitching.
