That last pitch he struck out Martin on, was actually perfect though, hit Hanigan right in the glove on perfect location. All things considered, was a solid inning for Buchholz. I can honestly say I didn't think the offense would get another chance.

Hasn't Clay usually pitched well until about the 4th inning? Maybe he can hang in for a few innings out of the bullpen.

Tushay. I have always said when Clay is on he is among the best in the league but who knows how long it would take him to consistently find his formthis year

Ehh, he tends to just suck a different inning every game. Sometimes he'll get hit early in the first, sometimes he'll give up that 3 run bomb in the 3rd, you never really know with Clay.

Nope, my wife just comes up with a new project every weekend. Today, we added on to our raised bed garden and planted eggplant, peppers, cucumbers, tomato and basil. Then we pulled up and transplanted some boxwood to make a new flower garden.

 

There was also an hour long water balloon fight with my son.

This is the way I feel after tough losses like the one on Saturday. I think we as fans need the wins more than the players do. Thank goodness we salvaged the last game of that series.

 

I don't think anyone, including me, wanted to see Clay come into the game in that situation, but to his credit, he got the job done. Good to see.
