Wright through 6, good stuff. Not bad for a #5 starter. :D :D :D

So - he moves ahead of Porcello on the depth chart?

I'd work as your assistant.:)

We could put together a great team. Clearly we could solve any issues that they have. We would have to have bigger fish tho fry than just the Boston Red Sox though.

We could revamp the entire organization and work on our golf games in our spare time.

Who would we invite on board to be our analytics specialist?

Sox ran into a buzz saw today.

Yeah, Young over Holt may not have helped but no on was hitting that kid today.

It happens.

AS for Wright, I'm not surprised that he pitched well.

If he can't be ready to hit lefties off the bench after sitting, then he is useless to us.

There is a big difference between sitting a few games, and sitting out two full weeks.

And people have posted the same type of sentiments the last time when Young played against RHP. At some point, it is not a coincidence.

Why is Young in today? Toronto has a lefty starting tomorrow?

Is this the "Knucleballers get no respect" syndrome?

I don't get it.

I also don't understand why Farrell (and other managers) decide to rest 3-4 of their starters on the same day.

Wakefield used to get the B lineup all the time.

Right is pitching very very well right now. Please get him some runs guys!

Wright did his job. The BP and the offense, not so much. Go figure.

You have to give credit to Sanchez. He dominated our lineup.

Oh well, win tomorrow and all will be well!

The problem with getting Young into games, as a very astute friend of mine pointed out way back when Young was signed, is that there just aren't that many left handed starters in our division, who roughly 45% of our games are against.

This is one of the reasons that I questioned signing a platoon player as a 4th outfielder.

The Young signing was fine. The AL East isn't abundantly lefty-oriented, but has a fair share of power lefty relievers. It's not his roster spot, but rather Farrel's deployment tactic. Besides, a guy who doesn't have platoon issues isn't a 4th OF, he's starting somewhere.

Young has K'd in 6 of his 8 tries against righties. Wow.

But he's getting those ab's to help him stay fresh!
