You are my favorite closet Mets fan.:P
They do have a great group of starting pitchers that are fun to watch. It is 180 degrees from our rotation. It also is very reminiscent of the Mets late 60's staff.

You know how Thor is my boy.

Would he look good in a Sox uni or what?

Andif his arm went bad, he could be our first baseman. The guy can hit the ball a mile.

Cubs are swooning.

Big time. 5-14 in their last 19 games, including their last 4 in a row.

Good thing they got off to such a quick start.

Cubs couldn't score in the 9th inning after loading the bases with no one out. Kris Bryant hit into a DP to end the game. LOL@ the Cubs who are still the Mets Bitches.

Why not f*** the Mets?

Mookie Wilson and Ray Knight are no longer there. I don't care about them. They could win the WS and it wouldn't bother me. It would actually do well to annoy Yankees fans for a while if the Mets got a few rings. I'd be into that.

I watched the end of this game after the Sox game. The Cubbies blew a great opportunity win that game. Great finish = Good baseball

The Mets don't bother me, but like we've mentioned before, I don't get all the hate for the Cubs.

f*** Maddon, their douchebag fans, and Theo who walked away from us twice. Let him enjoy the Midwest.

I've hated them since the 80's when they let Punky Brewster into their dugout during the playoffs.

Now I have to root for the Cubs to lose so people don't start thinking trading a bunch of prospects for a 3 month rental reliever is a good idea.

If Dombrowski had made this deal for Chapman, I would not be happy. I'm surprised Theo gave up that much for a 2 month rental. It's not one of his finer moments. I can understand being all in and wanting to put an end to the drought, but IMO, it's not wise to give up that much for a 2 month reliever, which doesn't guarantee you anything.

OTOH, if the Cubs do win it all this year, the deal will be worth it.

Or just because it is the Cubs and they are run by the "flat-leaving" Theo.

Don't hate Theo just because he is so good.

I just think that he is a jerk for walking out on the Red Sox.

I can't blame him for that, considering the circumstances with Lucchino.

He could have outlasted Lucchino. He walked. He is listed as a jerk in my thick Book of Jerks.

LOL! Luchino was Theo's mentor. LL will be in the HOF.

Professionalism isn't walking out on a job when things don't go your way 100% of the time. He walked away while under contract. It's not a good look. I don't like Larry either, but instead of fixing the problem, he put on a gorilla suit and disappeared. It was about as professional as tearing up some throwback jerseys.
