I can see you're subconsciously trying to prolong the season by making it yesterday. LOL

 

Unfortunately, the Sox have wrapped up at least a tie for last place. :(

 

No matter. Finish out the season with a win!

And you accuse me of being negative. If they are tied after today, they will be tied for 4th place, not last place. The glass is half full.

I can be positive, but I am always factual, and 3 last place finishes in 4 seasons for the Red Sox is unprecedented in my lifetime and it cannot be sugarcoated.

I also can't believe I just posted three games threads in a row and lost every game to end the season. I'll practice my game thread ability in the offseason.

The offseason should be really interesting. This can be a contending team next year. We just need to get Hanley to learn how to pitch a knuckleball.

 

I'm not sticking around here debating the minutia of ball sweat on the effects of a spray chart with you people during the offseason. I'm interested in that stuff and I'll read this board most days I'm sure, but you all know more about it than me. You people are interesting for sure..... I may hang out in the music thread during the offseason.

How long have you been watching the Sox?????????? I give you this........... you were correct about most everything this year without getting emotional about situations or people. You had " this is horrible" on repeat most of the year, but I think knew it before anyone could see it.............

 

I hope to see you more positive next year which means I hope the Sox play better next year..............

Thanks! I appreciate the shout out. One of the benefits of being an insanely obsessed and dedicated fan for half of a century is you can start to see patterns within seasons that you have seen many times before and you can figure out where things are going early on. I have also seen enough to know that if DD adds 2 pitchers and gets a bullpen things should turn 180 degrees for this team.

 

You bring a lot of fun to the board. It has been fun hanging with you too. I think Talk Sox was a pretty good place to be this season in spite of the putrid play by the Red Sox for most of the year. Stick around for the off season. I think it will be very eventful and interesting.
