Back in 09 or 10 when he started off slow, I mafe an offhanded comment about how he was done. She rubs my nose in it after every new HR.

I currently believe Ortiz is a highlander.

It's as good an explanation as any. Plus, as a bonus, there can only be one, which means sometime in the next two seasons we could be treated to a game that is interrupted by David Ortiz decapitating an opposing player with a broadsword, and there's no way it won't be a Yankee.

You've been on this for weeks, and I have to ask, did I miss something? Did someone make an offhand comment early in the season when Ortiz was struggling that maybe this should be his last year or something? You've been beating this sarcasm into the board for a while now, I think whomever you are trying to prove incorrect probably gets it by now.

Which actually brings up something I've been wondering. Does everyone think Ortiz is going to be back next season?

Is your underwear stuck in your ass crack of something tonight?:D Straighten it out and get off my back. ;)

I am not aiming this at anyone in particular on this board. Maybe you are having short term memory issues, but the murmuring in the press early in the season that Ortiz was over the hill was prevalent enough that he commented on it a few times when he started raking. So, yes it is aimed at all those people who think the big man is done every time he has had a slump over the last 6 years, but no, it is not aimed at anyone here, because like you, I don't know who that would be. Lol!

So, in answering your question, yes, you are missing something.

Edit: Ortiz has 16 million ,reasons to play next season.

I don't know who it would be either, which is why I asked if I was missing something. I was just wondering if you were poking at someone here or just everyone in general who thought Ortiz was done.

I along with EVERYONE thought Ortiz was done the first half. He looked horrible........ terrible........... atrocious..

It's too bad that we weren't still in it in the second half........... but we sealed our doom the first half.....

Papi has been incredible the second half............... but so has our pitching staff........... and I don't see any free passes given to Porcello or Kelly..........

The second half has been junk time...

I'm not taking this personal A700......... I just don't think Ortiz was Great this year is 100 percent accurate.

I love Ortiz......... I never want to see him go............ but you know my take on it............. he was as responsible as anyone for early collapse ...

He is 39. He is not the same player from 2005, 2006, but a guy who hits 30 HRs and 100 RBi every year isn't the reason why you have a bad team. Don't be offended if I disagree with you if you are making that point.

I'm never offended by what you say....... I listen though.......... respect....!

If Ortiz was hitting the first half instead of just the second half.......... these games now would still matter..........

The problem with this team has always been the pitching. With our pitching, these games had no chance of mattering.

I'm not talking to you for the rest of the game!!!!!! :)

But........ no it wasn't..... we had no hitting at first, right, catcher, third, and left somewhat, and at DH for half a season.

We are arguing 6 or half a dozen is better.................... but your human interpretation of what happened is corrupting the data......... everyone was bad the first half.....

Blame whatever you like, but I think it is the pitching that DD will be fixing in the long off season-- that and looking for a place to dump Hanley.

Edit: That's it for you! I am officially de- friending you.;-)

The hitting fixed itself......... of course pitching is the focus....

Tomorrow night CC is going with a spent bullpen backing him up. They could be in the midst of a full collapse. If they get swept tomorrow, real panic could set in.

I'd feel horrible if that happened...

I saw that too. I would have retweeted, but I didn't have the time. I got a good laugh at that too.

That is pretty funny. Cool of him, too, to have a sense of humor about it.

It's torture waiting for these brownies to cool, fyi.

Why wait for them to cool? Warm brownies are the best, as are warm cupcakes.

I prefer brownies at room temperature, rather than hot or still warm. At room temperature, the edge pieces get a little crunchier, and as everyone knows, the edge pieces are the best pieces.
