Yes, right off the expressway.

If there is room and if you do not want to mess with the middle of the city, seems like a good place for a new park.

Baseball doesn't work outside of the city.

Hmmm. I never considered this idea.

I certainly prefer my team to be in my city, so to speak.

I think cp176 is referring to the Globe property on Morrisey Blvd.

While not considered "the city", that would probably be a successful site for a stadium.

It is much more accessible for people coming from all directions to get to.

Morrissey Blvd is probably easier to get to by car or T, but I wouldn't call it a better location than Fenway. Being able to walk to Kenmore, Boylston St, or Newbury St has more appeal than Morrissey, it seems to me.

Not to worry, the area would be gentrified in a decade or so!

As long as the Sox don't ever have to share their stadium with a soccer team (like the Yanks), it's all good.

I agree, half the fun of going to a game is the location....

How long will it take for the first player to be injured by the torn up turf in the Bronx?

I would hate to see it happen. The Sox not play at Fenway. You ask most Yankee fans and they will tell you that the new stadium doesn't have the old atmosphere. Even if it looks the same it never will be. All of the ghosts of the Yankee past that haunted the Sox for years all disappeared when they tore down the old stadium. Long live Fenway!

My sentiments exactly.

It is selfish I guess but if you have to travel any distance to get to the park, an easier in and out with an updated stadium would be nice. It would be very sad to see old Fenway go, but it seems to make sense. Probably no chance that it could happen anyway.

Ain't that the truth.
