Let me say this for those running rampant with their sarcasm in this thread. As we were watching the game last night, we had no idea why Koji was sitting it out. There were a couple of explanations. The first one was that Koji was injured, sick or tired. The second was that Koji was not injured, sick or tired and Farrell wanted to get Mujica in a game in a high leverage situation. The first possibility was just scary to me unless it was just a cold or flu, but it was prudent for Farrell to keep him out of the game. The second possibility would just be a function of bad decision making in a game against the skanks when you are trying to get your team on a roll. If team sarcasm saw other possibilities, please share it with us and save us from your obnoxious sarcasm as we are watching the game.

All I can say is I didn't think there was any way in hell Farrell would use Mujica there unless Koji had reported some sort of issue. I could see Farrell trying Mujica in the 9th and easing him into some save situations, but not in Yankee Stadium with a 2 run lead, with Koji having a day of rest under his belt. Just didn't compute.

I guess Farrell letting Workman take an at-bat in the 9th in Game 3 was an under-the-radar stroke of genius too.

What is the other under-the-radar stroke of genius you're referencing?

Non sequitur sarcasm is really hard on the head.

I agree with that completely, and that is why we were questioning the move. We were trying to make sense of it.

Winning this game will just encourage future stupidity from the manager.

Now Farrell's gonna get a swelled head and pull this again in the near future and get burned.

To me these comments were jumping the gun, without waiting to hear the reason Koji wasn't pitching.

My other comments were that it was stupid if Koji was not injured. You were in the thread all night, you should have seen the context.

I wasn't in the thread all night. Anyway, this isn't worth arguing about any further IMO. I'm sure we'll have better opportunities to argue about Farrell as the year goes on.

If you are going to be snarky, make sure that you are right. Otherwise, I will jump down your throat, and I like you. ;)
